| H2 tags : Located in Vilas County, in northern Wisconsin, we are a group of volunteers dedicated to bringing you, the snowmobiler, some of the finest maintained and signed trails in the country. Through the combined efforts of our club and our great neighboring clubs, we think Vilas County is the best place to ride.; Snowmobile clubs are much more than jumping into a groomer and grooming. Before the engines fire up, countless hours are spent applying for funding, planning and building trails, signing and brushing trails, selling map ads, drawing maps, keeping track of membership, etc. Not enough snowmobilers realize as they're heading down the trail, what it took for that trail to be there, much less be there in a rideable condition. Taking care of snowmobile trails involves countless hours of summertime work as well. This site is dedicated to informing people what it takes to bring you one of the finest trail systems in the world.; ; Vilas County has set a target date of Monday, December 12, 2011 at noon for a county-wide opening of all Vilas County state-funded snowmobile trails, CONDITIONS PERMITTING. Please note that this date is NOT firm - it depends upon the amount of snow we get. Should you need 911 services, you call and give the number from the nearest intersection or road crossing. The 911 operator will know exactly where to send emergency services. |
