A select handful of artists worked over a period of almost fifteen years to create what is one of the largest collections of original sports art in the world - almost 1500 heritage uniforms from the NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA and CFL were painstakingly painted in watercolor and another 300+ aerial view images of ballparks, stadiums and arenas were meticulously hand drawn in pen and ink. The research that went into the creation of these original pieces of art was immense – a labor of love that took the better part of a decade. The original watercolor paintings, and the pen and ink drawings, are owned by the artists, and in mid 2009 they decided to make many of their original pieces of art available for sale to sports fans and art collectors - thus Heritage Sports Art and HeritageSportsArt.com were created. |
