They are adjacent the local bus routes into the city centre and are only a short walk from St Peters University campus. ; The Areldee Guest House was purchased in Summer 1994, starting with 3 rooms. Gradually the building was upgraded and expanded to create comfortable rooms with fantastic views of the Roker sands, Wearmouth piers and the North Sea. In 2001 the Abbey was created by converting a old care home. As with the Areldee, the Abbey has been expanded and upgraded to provide good quality accommodation at reasonable costs.; The aim has always been provide quality rooms at affordable prices. LINK TO ROOMS The two guest houses have many returning guests who the owners have come to know personally over the years, as well as a large local and national business clientele. (Not to mention the faithful Sunderland AFC followers who return whatever the result!) |
