H2 tags : Gold Country Riders is a chapter of the national organization 'Women on Wheels'. This local Chapter was founded in 2000 to provide the greater Sacramento womens community a place to meet other women riders and grow their riding skills. Gold Country Riders strives to create an atmosphere that supports and encourages female riders of all ages and skill levels to ride and expand their skills, while providing opportunites to meet other female riders.
Gold Country Riders (GCR) currently counts ~ 50 active members from the greater Sacramento area, including members from Auburn, Colfax, Placerville, El Dorado Hills, Manteca, Stockton, Roseville, Napa and Folsom. Our group is very active. We represent a wide range of professionals, who also may be grandmothers, rider coaches, mothers, wifes, athelets, track riders, members of others groups, musicians, who all love to ride. Membership is about opportunities for new riding adventures and new riding buddies.
Many of us have partners who we ride with and they are encouraged to become 'sponsor members'. Our sponsor members are welcomed to all of the regular Gold Country Rides activities.
Our purpose is to ride, and ride often, with a delightful measure of fellowship and good times. All are welcome.
You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings. You are welcome as a guest. Meetings are free (and so is Gold Country Riders!) and there's plenty of parking. We'd love to meet you and your bike. |
